Q. How often will I have to see you?

A. That is up to you.  I can offer my opinion after we have had our 1st session/intake.  Many of my clients meet with me once every 2 weeks.  Others see me weekly and others once a month depending on what we are working on.

Q. Where do we meet?

A. Currently and for the foreseeable future I see clients virtually; either by phone or video.  I provide you with a secure link to connect with me.

Q. What is your hourly rate?

A. My rate is $100/hour. 

Q. What is Narrative Therapy?

A. Narrative therapy is a style of therapy that helps people become—and embrace being—an expert in their own lives. In narrative therapy, there is an emphasis on the stories we develop and carry with us through our lives.

Q. What is CBT?

A. CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) focuses on challenging and changing cognitive distortions and behaviors, improving emotional regulation, and the development of personal coping strategies that target solving current problems.

Q. What is DBT?

A. DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) primarily helps clients regulate intense emotions and improve interpersonal relationships through validation, acceptance and behavior change.

Q. What is a RN Psychotherapist?

A. I am a Registered Nurse, registered by the College of Nurses of Ontario. When a nurse has the knowledge, skill and judgment we may perform psychotherapy in our practice and use the title of RN Psychotherapist. My clinical experience and education allow me to practice psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is primarily a talk-based therapy and is intended to help people improve and maintain their mental health and well-being.
